How to do an Industry report about an association?

What is an Industry report?

An Industry report is an analysis of data and information related to the sector through surveys conducted anonymously, aimed at a specialised or knowledgeable audience. In this way, the main objective of a study is to present reliable, objective and, above all, highly valuable data for companies.

These studies allow a better understanding of the market and provide a vision of the trends of the trade in Spain or Europe, or any geographical area of interest. In addition, a comparison is made where the evolution of the market can be assessed by comparing it with previous years.

The historical data collected in the past allows this publication to become a tool to better understand the market and to provide a vision of the evolution and trends of the trade in Spain.

In addition to a comparison of the main variables of interest to the trade, the main concerns affecting workers in the sector have also been collected over the years.

How is it done?

These studies are carried out through the collection of data from contractors and suppliers by means of two online surveys (corresponding to each of the two types of companies mentioned) composed of questions about the situation and evolution of the sector, from different aspects of the daily work of the companies. In the case of an international study, different surveys are created depending on the language.

These surveys are anonymous and are open for a period of a month or a month and a half in order to collect as much information as possible and to be able to carry out the most accurate analysis possible. This will make it possible to establish a reference methodology for obtaining representative statistical information at a national or international level.

When the surveys are closed, the data is exported and analysed. All this information is modelled so that it can be shared with the members of the association or companies interested in the sector.

In addition, the association organises webinars, i.e. small live online training sessions on topics of interest to professionals and companies, where the information and conclusions of the study are shared. The information is also disseminated through social networks and the media.

These studies are only available in online format.

EDA Industry report 2020

Since 2015 the European Demolition Association, EDA, has been working to produce an effective tool to analyse the evolution of the demolition industry across Europe and to provide trends that will allow us to face the future with more information.

This study provides an overview of the demolition sector in Europe based on data collected in 2020. It includes forecasts and specific information on demolition activity provided by the contractors themselves.

It also includes information on the evolution of the companies in 2019 and the forecast for 2020 with comparative graphs with the information collected since 2015 in order to provide an overview of the last few years.

The information has been collected through an online survey that has been translated into 10 languages to gather information from 14 European countries on the evolution of this industry. Although the surveys have been conducted in several languages, this publication is written in English and the official language of the country analysed.

The main objective of this study is to get a global overview of Europe and a national overview of EDA related countries that can help demolition professionals in their knowledge of the business at home and abroad.

In this case, the survey had nearly 200 responses from contractors, which allowed an analysis to be carried out.

In order to keep improving and producing more and more comprehensive surveys, this edition goes one step further by including new countries, languages and questions to build a better picture of the state of the industry in Europe.
