Elaboration of an informative publication
One of the actions carried out by Rabuso is the elaboration of informative and technical publications, books of lectures, studies,…
The elaboration process of each publication is different, each one has its own characteristics to which its creation process is adapted.
For example, in the case of informative publications, the idea comes from a working group in which members of the association, and sometimes collaborators and other entities participate. In order to organize the work and its implementation, a coordinator is appointed, usually a technician or expert in the field to assist in its development.
All the guides are written by a collaborator of the association with the notes, information and ideas discussed at the meetings.
Each draft is reviewed and approved at the working group meetings until it is finalized.
Guide on asbestos
An example of an informative publication is the guide on asbestos published by the Spanish Association of Demolition, Decontamination, Cutting and Drilling, AEDED.
As in all publications, the Working Group decided on the subject to be dealt with in the guide, in this case asbestos due to the great importance and repercussions it is currently having, and a table of contents was drawn up and subsequently approved by the members.
Once the contents had been established, institutions were invited to collaborate in the preparation and revision of the guide.
In addition, a request for sponsorship was opened so that any associated company could advertise on a page of the publication.
In the meantime, the texts inside the guide were drafted and approved in the meetings, and once they were finalized, it went to the layout phase.
During this final phase of the publication, the photos sent by the collaborators were selected and reviewed by the members, and the finished publication was sent to the members, collaborating entities, sponsors and other participants for a final review.
After approval of the completed guide, it was sent to the printer and then mailed to the members, collaborating entities, sponsors and other participants of the Working Group and other entities of interest.
This was the end of the process of elaboration of the guide on asbestos, although its promotion and dissemination in social networks, through newsletters, news, … began.
In case that there had been events, the guide is presented there, but as this was not the case, it was presented in a webinar.
